Environmental Policy
Last updated: October 2026
Future Factory London is a small consultancy. Our direct environmental footprint is modest, but we believe that is no reason to ignore it. This policy sets out how we keep that footprint low and how we bring environmental thinking into the work we do with clients.
Our commitment
We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations, to complying with all relevant environmental legislation, and to improving our practices over time. We expect the same of the suppliers and partners we choose to work with.
How we work
Travel. Travel is the largest part of our footprint. We default to remote working and video sessions wherever they deliver the same result, consolidate client visits into fewer trips, use rail rather than road or air for UK travel wherever practical, and walk, cycle or use public transport in London.
Paper and materials. We work digitally by default. Deliverables, workshop materials and invoices are shared electronically. We avoid printed collateral and single-use materials at events we run.
Energy and equipment. We use energy-efficient equipment, keep devices in use for as long as they remain reliable, and dispose of electronics through certified recycling routes.
Suppliers. We prefer suppliers with credible environmental commitments, including our web hosting, event venues and catering for the Innovation Breakfast Club.
Working with clients
Much of our work involves helping consumer, retail and hospitality businesses make strategic and operational decisions. Where it is relevant, we help clients see the environmental implications of those decisions alongside the commercial ones, from estate and supply chain choices to how initiatives are rolled out across sites. We also encourage the use of remote and hybrid working practices within the programmes we lead.
Review
This policy is owned by the founder and reviewed annually, or sooner if our operations change significantly. Questions about it can be sent to info@ffldn.com.
